Found poem
Found poem, Written on a receipt from the charging station:
On Finding, discovering, getting to know, courting, and marrying the love of your life.
All accolades aside
the structure is stricken with a disease.
And try as we might, to fix
that which might, sing anew
the flight of the hymn plummets
and unites with the transpiring mires
of dreams gone rogue.
But deep in the moist grass
of your inner grotto
a subtle barely audible beep
a fairy bell
struck with the femur bone of grandmother mouse.
And then you
drawing close
shapeshifting into SHE
clad in shimmering black light,
SHE whose edges dance with blue and white fireflies.
You
double dog daring me
to slay the enemies within
to lay waste to certainty
to uncategorize the trials
of life sentence
the night owl gliding through
orchards of ash.
The black blade
resting on the shoulder of certainty
an age, come and gone
we surrender to she
whose black electric heart burns
with renewing fire.
A predilection for mixed emotions
the slowly spreading blood
on a billion bathroom floors.
Our allegiance needs a reset
the clenching fist of despair turning
squeezing crushing
clear crystalline eyes
emerging
from geodes obscurity
a faint whisper
wondering where childlike lover has gone
how tranquil their demeanor
in the midst of self imposed disaster
may the body unite with
the physical work of material necessity
may the mind remain open
to perceive the miracle at work.
may the heart abide
in the deep well of light
it is eternally offering
