dragon’s question

dragon’s question

Before I was here

before I knew how to entrain my eyes

upon an object

before I used my vocal acuity to howl

the internalizing rainbow vacuum sucker

the spinning cave of egress

pulling all

insecure gazing hungrily

into it’s devouring maw

what in lights name is wrong with you

my eyes vibrating back and forth

like your damned phone on the floor,

you frantically searching for it

as if. it were a life jacket and you

in a sinking boat.

“now you know where it is, so what?…

it’s not going to help you,

it’s not going to save your life.

we’re all melting away,

slumping back to the sea

like abandoned sand castles in the moonlight.

My heart is bleeding

our hopes are hungry mouths

with no true nourishment.

you can’t eat binary biscuits

and pretend your soul is breathing healthily.

The stew pot is simmering

the time for focus is upon us

ask Xaria, they know.

Me,

I’ve been cancelled

long ago

chopped off at the neck,

but my head still floats

ghostlike

upon linear reenactments of real life

is this truly the nectar of the gods?

Sported the dew of Adrokaneez

supple, and invariably in season,

I cant wait to see you again,

we should get together and study sometime.”

with love always,

the school of life.
